1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using DeenBuddy (the "App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the App.

These Terms constitute a legal agreement between you and DeenBuddy ("we," "our," or "us").

2. Description of Service

DeenBuddy is a mobile application designed to help Muslims:

• Track prayer times based on your location
• Find Qibla direction
• Track daily prayers and maintain spiritual habits
• Use a digital Tasbih counter
• Access Islamic calendar and features

The App is provided as a tool to assist your spiritual practice. It is not a replacement for scholarly guidance or religious authority.

3. User Eligibility

You may use DeenBuddy if you:

• Are at least 13 years of age (or have parental consent)
• Agree to these Terms of Service
• Will not use the App for any unlawful purpose

4. Accuracy Disclaimer

We use established calculation methods from recognized Islamic authorities including:

• Muslim World League
• Egyptian General Authority of Survey
• University of Islamic Sciences, Karachi
• Umm Al-Qura University, Makkah
• Islamic Society of North America (ISNA)
• And other recognized authorities

However, we cannot guarantee 100% accuracy in all locations and circumstances. The App should be used as a helpful tool, not as the sole source of truth for your religious obligations.

5. User Responsibilities

When using DeenBuddy, you agree to:

• Use the App in accordance with Islamic ethics and values
• Not attempt to reverse engineer, modify, or distribute the App
• Not use the App for any commercial purpose without permission
• Provide accurate location permissions for proper functionality
• Verify important prayer times with local authorities when needed

6. Intellectual Property

The App, including its design, code, features, and content, is owned by DeenBuddy and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not:

• Copy, modify, or distribute the App
• Use our branding, logos, or mascot without permission
• Create derivative works based on the App

Quranic content follows the Uthmani script from the King Fahd Complex and is used respectfully.

7. Free Service & Optional Support

DeenBuddy's core features are provided free of charge and will remain free. This includes:

• Prayer times with all calculation methods
• Qibla direction
• Prayer tracking
• Basic notifications

Optional premium features or voluntary donations (e.g., "Buy Me a Coffee") help support development but are never required.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

• The App is provided "AS IS" without warranties of any kind
• We are not responsible for any missed prayers due to App inaccuracies
• We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
• Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the App (which is $0 for free features)

9. Modifications to the App

We reserve the right to:

• Update, modify, or discontinue features at any time
• Release new versions with bug fixes and improvements
• Change these Terms with reasonable notice

Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

10. Termination

You may stop using the App at any time by uninstalling it. We may terminate or suspend your access if you violate these Terms.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario, Canada. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Ontario.
